LAUNCH OF TWO NEW ASSETSVALUE MODULES ■
ASSETSMAN launches two new ASSETSVALUE modules for the definition of Multiannual Investment Plans.
The purpose of the Strategic Planning module is to project very long-term needs for successive renewals of "strategic" assets. It supports end-of-life assets and/or the arrival of new assets. It is coupled with the LCC - "Life-Cycle Costing" module because it includes the penalty estimates calculated on the deviations from the achievement of the optimum replacement time.
The interest of this module is to quantify the strategic investment needs over the long term and at the same time to be able to economically measure the exposure to the risk of not respecting optimal planning.
The Operational Planning module has a completely different level of granularity, being able to prioritize the investment needs of assets related to industry, buildings, infrastructure. This module allows the consideration of all types of risks (including risks related to the environment, customer satisfaction, image, reputation, etc.). The objective is to be able to justify the economic needs while visualizing the evolution of the risks (mapping).
Its contribution lies in its ability to process a very large number of assets. This module can also be combined with the Strategic Planning module.

The innovation of ASSETSVALUE which differentiates it on the market is the modeling fully based on the "Life-Cycle Costing" method and the monetization of risk curves linked to asset aging models. It is a very rigorous and precise tool while being very ergonomic. ASSETSVALUE uses uncertainty management techniques to take into account inaccuracies in input data.
CongrEGA 2022 ■
ASSETSMAN was very honored to have sponsored the #CongrEGA2022 - 1st Asset Management Congress in Portugal organized jointly by ISEC - Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Coimbra and APMI - Associação Portuguesa de Manutenção Industrial.

STORENGY ■
A branch of ENGIE, STORENGY is one of the worldwide leaders in the underground storage of natural gas. A major investment project on the site of the most important storage of the group needs the approval of the CRE (Comité de Régulation de l’énergie). In this framework and with a concern of transparency of the regulatory authority, STORENGY asked ASSETSMAN to provide some consulting services to justify the best solution between investing and renewing the current installations based on the projections of costs (CAPEX, OPEX) and the risk valorisation (unavailability, increase of correction, …) in different scenarios.

PHILIP MORRIS INTERNATIONAL ■
Company specialised in tobacco products having its operational headquarters in Lausanne in Switzerland, PHILIP MORRIS INTERNATIONAL wanted to implement a participative and dynamic formation about asset management. To do this, ASSETSMAN was assigned to implement a day of entertainment with its business game ASSETSGAME. NEW LOGO ■
The ASSETSMAN logo evolves in 2021.
Besides being a symbol of ASSETSMAN's 20th anniversary, it testifies to the daily resilience of our teams to adapt and evolve over time. The arc of the first logo that spans the entire lifecycle of assets has gained strength, new dimensions and shine. There are several arcs, just like the organizational, human and technical dimensions of Asset Management. They have to walk together and project themselves into a future with better value to extract from assets.
From fine lines in their launch, these arcs - thanks to a rigorous and close work with people - are reinforced and give robustness to the life cycle of assets with success.
This new logo also testifies to the confidence of our customers and partners over these 20 years and to the recognition of companies in the lasting strength of Asset Management.

ASSET performance 4.0 ■

Celso de Azevedo (Managing Director of ASSETSMAN) is one of the speakers of the Asset Performance 4.0 conference and virtual exhibition organized by BEMAS. He will speak next Wednesday, September 16, from 9 am to 10 am CET (7 am to 8 am GMT) on the following theme: "Innovations in decision-making for end-of-life assets: the Case of Transport Infrastructures". According to BEMAS, these conferences are a unique opportunity to learn how new 4.0 technologies and the fundamentals of operation, maintenance and asset management reinforce each other to improve the reliability of equipment and cost performance in asset intensive industries. "The question of how to decide on end-of-life infrastructure and industrial assets is increasing and in some cases, it is vital to the sustainability of the business. The problems have internal origin to the companies (investment policy, reduction of available CAPEX, vision in the short term) but also external ones (financial crisis, reduction of the demand, regulation rules, reduction of commodities prices, ...). Moreover, in the operational field one tends to believe that it is always worth keeping equipment for a useful life far beyond that for which there is an economic interest in operating them. Indeed, it is now easily demonstrated that the optimal technical and economic timing of replacement of end-of-life assets depends more on the characteristics of the future asset than on the old one in operation, the object of the problem. This presentation will demonstrate this innovative principle of penalties around the ideal moment of substitution of transportation infrastructures It will be richly illustrated from concrete cases with tangible results. Prospectively, the author has shown the potential for gains that a roll out of this solution can bring as benefits to industrial and infrastructures companies. " |
